The Cape Girardeau and Perry County Soil and Water Conservation Districts are jointly offering an internship opportunity for a higher education student. To qualify for the internship the student must be a freshman, sophomore, or junior currently enrolled in a college, university or technical school. The intern will gain knowledge and experience working with district staff in planning, surveying, and designing conservation practices, using maps and GIS technology and consulting with landowners. Qualified candidates should have computer skills, the ability to keep accurate notes and documentation, and be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions. This is a paid internship.
