The stream table is always such a hit with kids and adults!  They start with a naturally formed stream then make changes to it - straighten curves, put dams in, etc.  It doesn't take long for the kids to see how water can cause erosion.  Our favorite comment came from a 1st grade girl who said "I think we should have just left it alone!"
