Conservation Kids Day

The SWCD and the NRCS staff team up to host Conservation Kids Day. All the 4th grade students in Nodaway County have the opportunity to participate in the great outdoor learning experience at Nodaway Lake. There are six different stations that the students attended relating to conservation practices. Typical stations include aquatics, forestry, soils, wildlife, stream table and life of a bee.

If we don’t teach our younger generations how to conserve the earth today, there will be no earth for tomorrow. Contact our office for details regarding Conservation Kids Field Day, normally held in September every year.
