District Specialist I Technician

The Madison County SWCD has an opening for a full-time District Specialist I Technician. The technician will work in conjunction with the lead technician to provide technical assistance to landowners and operators in the county. BASIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: · Basic and advanced conservation planning, engineering, and designing · Complete conservation plans and discuss with landowner expectations Madison County SWCD has for the plan’s completion · Utilize ArcGIS software to create maps showing locations of designed practices for installation and checkout · Verify practices installed meet policy, standards, and specifications through utilization of various technologies · Provide technical assistance and support to landowners, contractors, and operators during the lifespan of the practice being installed · Keep records of no-till drill rental and coordinate maintenance needed
