The Gasconade County Soil & Water Conservation District (GCSWCD) is proud to announce that Jahnavi Patel, of Hermann Middle School, has won the 3rd Place National Award for the 4th - 6th Grade Division for her "Healthy Soils:Healthy Life" poster. Jahnavi's poster contest journey began in March of 2022 as the 1st place winner for the 6th Grade at the 2022 GCSWCD competition. She then was selected as the State Entry for the 4th - 6th Grade Division. Her poster then took 1st Place at the Missouri Soil & Water Conservation District Competition held at Tan-Tar-A in November of 2022 and sent on to the National Association of Conservation Districts for the National Selection in February, 2023. The GCSWCD received notification of her award in mid-May. Board Chairman Mike Haeffner and District Manager Diana Dean were please to present Jahnavi with her national award certificate and monetary award on May 31st at her home in Hermann.
