Shared District Technician

The Morgan County Soil & Water Conservation District is accepting applications for a full-time Shared District Technician position. The technician will assist with providing technical and financial assistance to agricultural producers who are implementing conservation practices such as terrace systems and cover crops in Miller, Morgan, Camden and Laclede counties. This positions home base is in Versailles, MO. Applicant must be able to work outdoors as well as in an office setting. Other qualifications include strong computer skills, basic mathematical skills, and good public relations skills. This position entails planning/designing conservation practices and working directly with landowners/contractors. The physical capability to cover rough terrain in all types of weather conditions is required. Applicant must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED and must be able to work independently and have good time management skills. Applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check. Starting pay is $17.16/hour, with room for advancement.
