NOTICE OF ELECTION OF SUPERVISORS
New Madrid County SWCD BOARD ELECTION
Let it be known that the New Madrid County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold an election
for one supervisor in each of two different areas in the county. Area 2 includes New Madrid, Lewis, and St.
John townships and Area 4 includes Como and
Anderson townships. The election will take place from February 1, 2026 to February 20, 2026. Ballots are
available to print online at https://mosoilandwater.land/new-madrid or at the New Madrid SWCD office.
Printed ballots may be returned to the district by mail and must be postmarked no later than February
20th. You may also vote in person from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the New Madrid County Soil and Water
Conservation office at 495 US Hwy 61 in New Madrid. Each eligible land representative in the district is allowed one vote. A land representative is defined as the owner or representative authorized by legal power of attorney of any farm lying within an
area.
The following qualified candidates will be considered for election:
Area 2 – Cindy Faulkner, New Madrid Township
Area 4 – Joe Woolverton, Anderson Township

2026 NEW MADRID SWCD ANNUAL MEETING

Dear New Madrid County Landowner and/or Producer,

 

You and a guest are invited to attend the New Madrid County Soil and Water Conservation District’s 2026 Annual Meeting. The meeting will be held on Tuesday February 17, 2026 at the Mill Street Community Building in New Madrid, Mo. 63869. This is the time for elections for are eligible landowners and farmer we will be having the ballot box available. This year Cindy Faulkner and Joe Woolverton are the board members running for 2026 election. Voting will be between 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm with free meal beginning at 6:30 pm along with door prizes and a guest speaker. This will also be a great time to meet the New Madrid County SWCD Board of Supervisors and staff.

 

We ask that you RSVP to the SWCD/NRCS office or (573) 748-2557 ext. 3, no later than Wednesday February 04, 2026 so we can provide our caterer with an accurate head count.

 

Meeting Time: 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm
