This year the stewardship theme was Soil to Spoon which was a fun topic to cover with our Partner In Ed classes! Each month we talked about a different food and how we could trace every ingredient back to the soil. The students learned that everything we eat is dependent on healthy soil! We thought it would be a special treat to do a field trip to food related places. Our Chula class went to Shatto Dairy and our Southwest class went to Weed's Greenhouse. Our Field Elementary class went to Litton Agri-Science Center and planted basil plants to take home as part of the tour there.
